Arts Camp in Braunwald, offers children and teenagers aged 8–17 a unique combination of language learning and artistic expression in a stunning Alpine setting. With 15 hours of language lessons per week. In the afternoons, they take part in creative workshops three times a week, exploring different artistic techniques and developing their imagination, creativity and confidence.

Language lessons are taught in small groups of approximately six students, allowing teachers to adapt their approach to each participant’s level, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Classes focus on communication and practical language skills through interactive methods such as games, role-play, theatre and audiovisual activities. The art workshops are guided by a dedicated instructor and may include painting, drawing, mosaic, pottery and creative writing. Throughout the week, participants also contribute to a collaborative art project that culminates in a final exhibition showcasing their work.

The camp takes place at the Adrenalin Backpacker Hostel in Braunwald, a picturesque, car-free mountain village in Switzerland’s canton of Glarus. Accommodation is available in shared rooms with four to six beds, with shared or private bathroom options, as well as double rooms with private bathrooms. Full-board meals are included, alongside three excursions per week to explore the surrounding region, including Alpine hikes and cultural or recreational visits. Evening activities such as games, campfires and group entertainment encourage participants to socialise and make new friends. The programme also includes 24-hour supervision and a certificate of participation.
